“Always in search of a good happy hour and fun, I started writing Columbus on the Cheap in 2009 as a way to keep track of what happening in Columbus. Whether you’re looking for date ideas, festivals, family activities, fitness and sports, movies and music, huge seasonal and holiday events roundups, and of course, Happy Hours, you’ll find it on Columbus on the Cheap. As a fan of Craftin Outlaws since the early days, it was hard to narrow a list down to just 5 (so I didn’t).” – Val
I’m not one to spend a lot on purses or accessories, but I’m so drawn to the purses and wallets from Old Salts Leatherworks! Their prices are incredibly reasonable for handcrafted leather goods. I desperately want one of the zippered purses (I love the colored zippers), and if I was cool enough to wear a hip pouch (I’m not), their design is absolutely stunning!
I picked up a few shirts by Megan Lee Designs over the last year and I love them! They are soft and comfortable, and have unique artwork. People always compliment the Ohio “bike” shirt when I wear it.
Stinkybomb Soap is one of the vendors I remember from my first Craftin’ Outlaws shows way back when. I don’t remember what I bought then, but I know my kids would love the fun soap shapes now!
More leather for me! I love the look of the leather jewelry she creates – the pieces are so lightweight and simple, but have so much texture!
I don’t know what I like more – the whimsical canvas quote paintings, or the (you guessed it) Leather Tassel Wall Hangings, but it’s clear I have a current leather accessory obsession. (I may need a Leather Triangle Patchwork Necklace too).
Bonus Stop: Wholly Craft
I’d venture to say you could find something special for everyone on your Christmas list at Wholly Craft. As one of the OG’s in local alternative craft world, it’s basically a huge alternative craft fair in permanent form. They have a little bit of everything for everyone, and if you can’t make it to the show, make sure you stop in the store during your holiday shopping!
