Local Charity you support? My husband introduced me to Bike Cleveland. While having three young kids at home doesn’t allow us to be as active as he was in the past, we still find it important to be advocates for bicycle and road safety education.
How are you staying active during this time? Animal Crossing is helping me ease my anxiety during this pandemic. Life is slow there, there isn’t a highly contagious virus…I just fish, catch bugs and decorate my house like a rainbow vomited all over it. It’s beautiful.
What was your first handmade experience? After graduating from art school I gave took up knitting to quit smoking. It gave me something to focus on and kept my hands busy. I loved the rhythm and precision of it. I liked to take on long, complicated, impractical projects. My favorite being a bag with the names of the entire credited cast of Gilmore Girls Fair Isle knitted into it. It ended up being less of a bag and more of a long knitted tube but I think that speaks a lot to my personality.
What would you tell your future self? Don’t be so hard on yourself.
Which do you prefer: Tacos or Pizza? I have to go with Tacos since mozzarella makes me farty. I’ve been digging on pork with pineapples and onions.
