Good morning beautiful people 🥰 How are things going? It’s been a little crazy over here but I’m starting to feel like I’m on top of (some) things again. One rhythm that I’m working on is self care. For me that means slowing down and creating something. What is your favorite way to slow down? Thank you to @denisevanphotos for this beautiful photo of my hello beautiful kit! #wovenandwool #embroiderykit #embroidery #handembroidery #kidsdiy #homeschool #elearning #diyembroiderykit #wholesale #shoplocal #shopsmall #crossstitch #smallbusiness #virtuallearning #backtoschool #school #artclass #kidsart #stressrelief #maskup #makersgonnamake
Local Charity you support: I provide resources for low income women in my community through organizations like Habitat for Humanity and MOPS.
What entertains you these days? All of Josh Garrel’s music!
What was your first handmade experience? My mother and grandmother taught me how to create at a young age. When I was around 2 years old my grandmother gave me some plastic canvas, embroidery floss and a needle. She taught me basic stitches and how to create my own designs. This instilled a love of hand embroidery that has led to a lifetime of pursuing this passion. From the time I was little I was encouraged to step out and create. This has helped shape me into the person I am today.
What would you tell your future self? Don’t be afraid to try something new. Whether it’s a design concept or material it’s worth trying.
Which do you prefer: Tacos or Pizza? Tacos! With fresh flour tortillas, chopped tomato, sour cream and sharp cheddar cheese.
